Watch scheduled jobs by sending a heartbeat when each run completes.

Send a heartbeat to your check’s unique URL after a successful job. Set a grace period that allows for normal variation in runtime.
Once the deadline and grace period pass, a second regional worker confirms that no heartbeat arrived before an incident opens. A late heartbeat closes the incident and records the recovery time.
